Flood Report

Request and track flood zones and comprehensive reports for properties associated with a loan.

Updated over 4 months ago

The Flood Report feature in Baseline is a specialized tool that allows users to request and manage flood zone determinations for properties associated with loans.

This feature integrates with Cotality to provide official FEMA designated flood zone determinations and attributing reports, and identify whether a property lies within a federally designated flood zone and the risk of low or high flooding in that area, helping lenders to:

  • Protect the collateral backing the loan from uninsured flood damage

  • Meet federal requirements related to flood insurance

  • Protects both borrower and lender from potentially catastrophic financial loss

Key Elements of this feature:

  • Streamlined Process: Request flood reports directly within the Baseline platform.

  • Automated Documentation: Reports are automatically attached to the relevant loan and address and pushed into the document section.

  • Real-time Status Updates: Track the progress of flood report requests

  • Integrated Notifications: Receive alerts when reports are completed or require attention

  • Flood Zone Metrics: Snapshot of the flood zone and the risk associated with the property

How the Feature Works

A user has the ability to both order and upload a flood report on any collateral attached to the loan.

Ordering a Flood Report

  • Go to a loan

  • Go the collateral section

  • Go to the tab that says "Flood Report"

  • Click on "Order Report" from the grey section within the tab

The process can also be started through the button in the top right of the section header that says "Order Flood Report"

  • Select one or multiple properties, confirm to the terms with vendor, and order the report

Click "Order Report"

When multiple properties are selected, Each property will have its own report.

Each report is priced independently, contact Cotality for details on your pricing

It could take up-to 24 hours for the report to be generated, and you will see a banner that indicates the status:

Once generated, you will be able to see a snapshot of the Zone and a color to indicate the risk associated with the property

Additionally, the report will be accessible within the Flood Report tab, in the documents tab, within the collateral section.

Our color classification indicate the following risk:

  • Undetermined Risk: Grey

  • Low Risk: Green

  • Medium Risk/Non Special Flood Hazard Area: Amber

  • High Risk/Special Flood Hazard Area: Red
