Change Log

Track all activities within a loan through your change log

The Change Log tracks all activities and changes made to a loan throughout its lifecycle, providing a detailed audit trail of who made changes, what was changed, and when the changes occurred.


Accessing the Change Log

  1. Navigate to any loan record.

  2. Go to the “More” tab group and select “Change Log” (available in both Originator and Servicing views).

The Data Points

The Change Log displays a chronological list of activities with the following details:

  • Timestamp: Date and time when the change occurred

  • User: Avatar and initials of the user who made the change

  • Reference: Description of the action taken

  • Value: Before and after values for field changes


Filtering and Searching

  • Date Filter: Filter activities by date range.

  • Search Box: Search for specific text across all entries.


Types of Activities Tracked

Here's a list of all the activities tracked and displayed in the change log:

1. Loan Updates

  • Loan Stage and Sub-stage Changes: When a loan is moved from one stage/sub-stage to another (also tracks loans being rejected, loans going into default, and archived/sold)

  • Edits to Loan Details (in the General Tab):

    • Terms and Parameters

    • Payment details

    • Classes

    • Banking information

    • Spread allocation

    • Other fields and custom fields

  • Edits to Loan Settings (in the Settings tab)

2. Document Activities

  • Document Version Uploads: New versions/documents added to the loan

  • Document Deletions: Removal of documents

  • Documents Shared: When a document has been shared

  • Documents Requested: When a document has been requested

  • Documents Moved: When a document moves from one slot to another.

  • Status Changes: Changes to the status of a document

  • E-Signature Events: Sent for signature, signed, rejected

3. Payment Activities

  • Payment Creation: New payments recorded (includes Funding and Payoffs)

  • Status Changes: Pending → Cleared → Reversed

  • Payments Deleted: Payment being deleted

4. Loan Owner Changes

  • Owner Assignments: Adding new owners

  • Owner Removals: Removing owners

5. Draw Management

  • Draw Requests: Initial requests for funds

  • Draw Approvals: Approval of requests

  • Revision Requests: Requests for changes

  • Draw Releases: Release of approved funds

  • Draw Deletions: Removal of requests

  • Draw Rollbacks: Reversing approvals

6. Loan Modifications

  • Creation: Initial creation of modifications

  • Updates: Changes to modification terms

  • Deletions: Removal of planned modifications

7. Product Changes

  • Product Change: When a product was changed on a loan

8. Charges

  • Charge Added: Tracks when a charge is created

  • Charge Edited: Tracks when an existing charge in a loan is edited

  • Charge Deleted: Tracks when a charge is deleted
