How to customize the domain name of your Baseline portals

Step 1: Creating a custom domain in your DNS Manager

  1. Log in to your domain’s DNS manager.

  2. Delete any existing A/AAAA record whose Host/Name is the subdomain you’ll use (CNAME cannot coexist with A/AAAA).

  3. Create a CNAME record and input the following details:

    1. Type: CNAME

    2. Name / Host / Alias:

      1. add your desired subdomain name

        e.g.
        • "portal"
        • "borrower"
        • "app"

    3. Value / Points to / Target:

      1. custom-domain.baselinesoftware.com

      2. “custom-domain” is NOT a placeholder for your Host/Alias → the Value/Target should match this exactly

    4. TTL: Automatic

    5. Save.

Step 2 : Connecting your custom domain in Baseline:

  1. Click your company name in the top-left corner of Baseline.

  2. Select Company Settings and click into the Workplace tab.

  3. click “Edit” in the top-right of the Workspace box at the top

  4. Update the Domain with your new custom subdomain/domain:

    1. Before:

      1. genericlendingllc.baselinesoftware.com

    2. After:

      1. portal.genericlendingllc.com
