Creating Investment Classes

How to configure different investment classes with different interest rate and seniority structures

Updated over a year ago

In Baseline, you have the ability to create different investment classes that correspond with different interest rates and seniority levels, i.e. Senior, Junior, Mezzanine Investment classes.

Classes are a default setting under the General tab within your loan and can be edited directly from this tab.

However, this will only edit the classes within an individual loan. You can also change classes on a product/loan type level by navigating to products within accounts settings.

To do this, click on the user icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen and hit settings, then select products, click on the elipsis on the bottom right hand corner of the loan product you wish to edit, then select edit. Hit save on the first screen of the product edit, and you'll be taken to the general settings page of product configuration. Scroll to the very bottom of this page, and you'll find the section titled 'tranches'. Here, you can add your specific investment classes for this product as different fields, and enter the interest percentage you'll pay on each class.
