Detailed guide on the task management functionality in Baseline, including creating, assigning, and tracking tasks.

Overview

The task management functionality in Baseline allows users to create, assign, and manage tasks effectively within the platform. This feature is designed to enhance team collaboration and improve efficiency. You may link this tasks to loans or leave them as stand a loan.

Using Tasks

Tasks can be accessed in two ways:

  1. Through the Task section at the top of the left Navigation bar

or, on each individual loan

1. Steps to Create a Task:

  1. Navigate to Task Management: Access the Task Management section from side navigation β€œTasks”. Or the upper bar inside a loan

  2. Click 'Add Task': Locate and click the "Add Task" button.

  3. Save the Task: Click "Save" to add the task to the task list.

2. Assigning Tasks

Tasks can be assigned to team members to ensure accountability and clarity. To assign a task:

  • From the Task List

    • Hover over task from the task list.

    • Click the "Assign" button.

    • Choose team members from the dropdown list.

    • Click "Save" to assign the task.

  • From within a Task

    • Select the task from the task list to open it.

    • Click the "Assignee" button.

    • Choose team members from the dropdown list.

    • Click "Save" to assign the task.

⚠️ Your team members will receive a notification when a task is assigned to them

4. Setting Due Dates

Ensure timely completion by setting due dates for tasks:

  • Open the task details.

  • Select a due date from the calendar.

  • Click "Save" to set the due date.

5. Tracking Task Progress

Monitor the progress of tasks through various status options:

  • Open the task details.

  • Select the current status (e.g., To-Do, In Progress, Completed, Waived).

  • Click "Save" to update the task status.

6. Notifications and Reminders

Stay informed with notifications and reminders for upcoming deadlines and task updates:

  • Notifications appear in the notification panel.

  • Email reminders can be set up for due dates and important task changes.

7. Task Sorting

Easily find and manage tasks using the sorting options:

  • Use the Table header to sort tasks by Name, Due Date and Status.

8. Managing Tasks Inside a Loan

Tasks can be easily managed from within a loan.

Navigate to a loan and on the upper right corner , click on the Checkbox icon to open the tasks manager.

Filtering Tasks

When inside the loan, the tasks assigned to the loan are shown by default. To change and see all tasks or all my tasks click on the drop down at the left top corner of the tasks

Create a New Task inside the loan.

All new tasks created within a loan are automatically assigned to the current loan. You may change the loan they are linked to by clicking the Loan dropdown

9. Adding Tasks from a Template

To add previously created template containing a series of tasks, click the "Add tasks from template" and select the template you want to apply to the loan.

πŸ›‘ When the same tasks are already in the loan, the system will show an error and will not add the tasks to the loan again.
