In Baseline, borrowers and investors cannot use the same email address. This is because the system uses the email address of a specific account to determine whether or not to route a user to the Borrower Portal or the investor portal. However, you do have options to ensure your borrower/investor can access both relevant portals:
You can use an entirely different email address they have access to for their second account
You can also use a modifier in their email. Using a '+' after the first part of their email address allows you to modify their standard email, whilst ensuring it's still accessible via their regular account. For example, if their regular email, used for their investor account, is [email protected], you can use [email protected] for their borrower account. System emails sent to [email protected] still route to the regular email address of [email protected].
