Opening Links in a new Tab

Updated over 6 months ago

When reviewing a loan, it's common to need quick access to related information—like a borrower's contact card or a supporting document. Instead of navigating away and losing your place, you can now open these links in a new tab using a simple shortcut..

The Shortcut

  • Windows: Hold Ctrl and click any link.

  • macOS: Hold ⌘ (Command) and click any link.

Your selection pops open in a brand‑new browser tab, leaving your original loan view exactly where you left it.

Why This Matters

  • Zero Context Switching – Stay immersed in the loan you’re working on.

  • Faster Reviews – Compare multiple contacts or documents side‑by‑side.

  • Seamless Navigation – No more back‑button loops or accidental page refreshes.

Everyday Examples

Task

Old Way

New Way

Verify an investor’s email while viewing the loan

Click contact → new page → back

Ctrl/Cmd + Click the contact; info opens in a tab while the loan stays put

Cross‑check two appraisal documents

Open doc A → back → open doc B

Ctrl/Cmd + Click both docs; review them in parallel

Pro Tip

If you’re doing a deep dive, try opening several links in separate tabs. That way, you can review multiple documents or contacts without jumping back and forth between views.
