Aug 24, 2026 – Release Notes

This release puts document creation and loan intake in your own hands — a no-code document template editor and a new Loan Intake Form (a lighter alternative to the full Application) — alongside AI-assisted budgets and a broad set of refinements across payments, imports, contacts, and reporting.

Documents

Built-In Document Editor

Building and generating your loan documents no longer means writing template code or waiting on a support request.

  • Admins can now create and edit document templates directly in Settings → Templates, in a full editor with a searchable merge-field sidebar, guided formatting for dates, currency, percentages, and number precision, and no-code controls for conditional sections and repeating content across borrowers, guarantors, collateral, teams, and charges.

  • Fillable fields prompt for information at generation time, and you can preview a template against a real loan before you save.

  • Borrower, guarantor, investor, and team loops can now include each person's or entity's SSN or Tax ID.

Your existing templates continue working exactly as they do today.

Along with that: document previews now render dependably for large scanned PDFs.

Applications & Onboarding

A new Loan Intake Form gives borrowers and brokers a shorter, guided way to start a loan — a lighter alternative to the full application.

  • A new Loan Intake and Application settings page is now the single place to manage both forms.

  • You can choose which form the Borrower Portal and Broker Portal open for a new loan, and access the form editor directly within this same tab.

  • The no-sign-up links for both the Loan Intake Form and Full Application now live on this page as well, under the Share Form button.

  • The intake form shows or hides property fields based on the selected use of funds and loan type, and when an intake form is submitted, the new deal lands directly in your pipeline, or in your Triage module (if enabled), just as it did before.

  • Baseline automatically generates the Loan Intake Form PDF and uploads it into the loan's Documents tab without any additional action required.

Scope of Work & Budgets: AI Budget Upload

Uploading a budget is now as simple as handing over whatever you already have.

A new AI Budget Upload lets a borrower or lender drop any budget document onto a loan's Scope of Work — a PDF, Word doc, spreadsheet, photo, or scan — and have an AI agent read it, extract the line items, map them onto your budget worksheet, and save them as the loan's budget.

This replaces the previous requirement to upload a structured spreadsheet template, and a review step lets you confirm the result before it's applied.

Payments & Loan Servicing

New Payment Experience

Recording and sending payments has a brand-new look and feel. We've rebuilt the Payment Box from the ground up — clearer grouping of loan details, distribution, and deductions, with refined layout and typography throughout. A new "How was this calculated?" helper shows the math behind every payment as you go, so nothing is a mystery.

The redesigned Payment Box is on by default for new accounts. On an existing account, an admin can switch it on in Workspace → Settings — or reach out to support if you'd like a hand getting started.

Payments Improvements

  • The bulk payments received-date picker now enforces a minimum date, so a payment always lands in order relative to existing transactions on the loan.

  • Remove Default and End Default clear an automatically triggered default as of the date you choose, without the loan immediately re-entering default — while still allowing it to default again later if a new qualifying condition occurs.

  • Loan, charge, schedule, and payment amounts now support values up to the trillions, so very large figures save cleanly.

  • Improved prepaid-days calculation on servicing loans.

Draws

The Draws page now includes a Borrower column showing each loan's primary borrower, across the In Review, Approved, and Released tabs and in the CSV export.

Products

  • Lenders can now hide an individual loan — or every loan under a product by default — from the Borrower Portal.

  • Saving a field change on loans with large numbers of formula-based fields is substantially faster.

Integrations

  • Xactus flood orders that come back flagged for manual verification now resolve on their own.

Reports & Data Import

  • We've continued to refine custom report columns first addressed earlier this month — newly created product fields stay out of your existing saved reports, and document- and collateral-only questions no longer surface as report columns.

  • Imports are more forgiving of the files you have: the loan importer accepts CSV files and clearly flags unsupported file types before anything is created, and a product-field import skips any spreadsheet cell it can't evaluate so the rest of the file imports cleanly.

Contacts

  • A contact keeps a single primary address and a single mailing address, and Baseline flags a duplicate before it's saved.

  • Borrower addresses created through the public API now appear in the Edit Address dialog.

  • Edits to a contact's Tax ID or SSN save reliably.

Platform & Navigation

  • Signing in with Google or another SSO provider now establishes your session cleanly and takes you where you're headed.

  • Global search titles each loan result with the loan's name, matching the loan detail page, so results are easy to recognize at a glance.

  • If a borrower leaves a tab idle and their session expires, they're returned to the sign-in screen cleanly.

  • MFA verification codes are sent from Baseline's dedicated, registered messaging numbers for U.S. and Canadian recipients.

  • The Associated Companies panel on a contact fits neatly within the table.
