Deleting a Loan

Sometimes you may want to delete a loan entirely. Before you do so, it's necessary to remove any payments or investments in that loan to make sure any distributions or investor balances remain accurate.

To delete a loan:

  1. Navigate to the Payments tab within the loan

  2. Delete all payments

  3. Navigate to the Funding tab within the loan

  4. In the History section, delete any Transfers or Funding

  5. Navigate to the General tab and click the blue action button in the top-right hand corner of the screen

  6. Click Delete

Deleting an Archived Loan

Step 1: Restore the archived loan

  1. Navigate to Reports

  2. Click on the Archived Loans report

  3. Find your loan

  4. Click the "..." menu on the loan card

  5. Choose Restore

Step 2: Delete all payments and funding

Before deleting the loan, you must remove any payments or investments:

  1. On the Payments tab, delete all payments

  2. On the Funding tab, in the History section, delete any Transfers or Funding

Step 3: Delete the loan

Once payments and funding are removed, navigate to the General tab, hit the blue action button on the top right corner, then hit delete.

Remember that deleting permanently removes the loan from our system. This should only be done if you want to erase all record of the loan.
